If you plan to sponsor your spouse, there are several important requirements to consider. First, the sponsor must meet a minimum salary threshold of at least AED 4,000 per month (the exact requirement may vary depending on whether the sponsor is the husband or the wife). This condition is in place to ensure financial stability for the family. In addition, a valid tenancy contract must be provided, confirming that suitable accommodation is available for all sponsored family members.
 
A mother is also eligible to sponsor her children, but this requires approval from the Federal Authority for Identity, Citizenship, Customs and Port Security. It is important to note that a dependent visa for a son can typically be issued until he reaches the age of 25. A daughter can be sponsored only if she is unmarried. As in other cases, the sponsor must demonstrate sufficient financial means and provide proof of accommodation.

If you intend to sponsor your parents, stricter criteria must be met. The sponsor’s monthly income should be at least AED 20,000, reflecting the ability to financially support them. Additionally, suitable housing must include a separate bedroom for the parents. A refundable security deposit is also required for each parent.
 
The validity of a sponsor visa is directly linked to the sponsor’s own residency status. This means that if the sponsor’s visa expires, the sponsored family members must either leave the country or obtain a new visa under a different category.
