Choosing a Place of Employment.
Before submitting documents, you must determine your place of employment — whether it is a public or private clinic, medical center, or another healthcare facility. Obtaining preliminary approval from the selected institution is an important step, as it often accompanies the document submission to the Dubai Health Authority (DHA).

Collection of Documents.
The list of required documents varies depending on your specialization and workplace. However, the general package typically includes:
→ Passport, visa, and photographs.
→ Diplomas and academic transcripts. It is important that these documents are translated into English or Arabic by a certified translator. Additionally, they must undergo consular legalization to be valid for use in the country.
→ Certificate confirming professional experience, verifying your work experience in the medical field. It may be issued by a previous employer. Experience requirements depend on your specialization and the desired position. For general practitioners, at least two years of experience is usually required; for holders of a Master’s or PhD degree, at least three years.
→ Registration certificate from your home country: a document confirming your legal right to practice medicine in your country of origin.

Passing the Examination.
After DHA completes the document verification process, you will receive an invitation to take an examination. The exam is designed to assess your practical knowledge and confirm compliance with international standards. Upon successfully passing the exam, you will receive a Good Standing Certificate, which is a required document for license issuance.
