Business expansion often entails making amendments to the license. The first and perhaps most important step is to obtain approval from the Department of Economic Development of the relevant emirate. This is a key step, as the DED checks the compliance of the selected activities with your existing license type and local legislation. Once you have received approval, you must complete and submit an official application form requesting the amendments. It is important to note that, depending on the nature of the new activities, you may need to obtain a no objection certificate or external approvals from other relevant authorities. 

To do this, you will need to fill out an address change application form with a valid Ejari, which confirms the lease agreement for your new office space. Without a valid Ejari, it will not be possible to change the address on your license. The procedure is relatively simple but requires the submission of all the necessary documents.

Changes in the composition of partners, such as adding, removing, or changing information about an existing partner, require amendments to the license. You will need to submit an application to the relevant government agency, providing all documents confirming the changes. This includes copies of the partner's personal documents (passport, visa) and any additional information required to update the data, such as information about new shares in the company. 

Renaming a company is a more complex procedure that requires careful preparation. First, you need to propose a new name to the Department and check it for uniqueness and compliance with the requirements and activities of the business. Once the new name has been approved, you will need to submit the relevant application and pay all fees.
